6th Grade Recommendations - IMPORTANT

Can you believe it is that time of the year where we are starting to think about 6^th grade?  The 5^th grade teachers are busy finishing up placements for our students for next year in middle school.  It is important to remember a few things:

• The students were place in classrooms based on a rubric that the middle school came up with.  5^th grade teachers just put the information into the computer and the computer recommended if the child needed advanced or regular classroom placement.
• If you disagree with the placement, you have the right to go the middle school and waive your child into the class you feel is best. 
• Placement was determined by MAP scores, 4^th grade CRCT scores and current classroom grades.

You will receive a letter in your child’s Friday Folder on Friday, March 27^th that tells your child’s placement for next year.  Please make sure you return those forms back to school by Friday, April 3^rd.
