This Week in Math, Social Studies, and Science

 

Please remind your students to be sure that they pack their book-bags every night so they do not forget their agendas and assignments. 

 

Please remember that students are given the option of asking for a Summative re-test when they feel they are ready.

 

Math:

Classwork: We will continue to work on fractions. Please make sure that your child is able to change  back and forth from improper fractions and mixed numbers as well as simplify fractions. We will have a quiz on changing between improper fractions and mixed numbers on Tuesday, a quiz on comparing fractions on Thursday and a quiz on adding fractions with like denominators on Friday.

 

Homework: Students are to complete 8 Accelerated math problems and any classwork that they were not able to finish at school. 

 

Social Studies:

Classwork: We began the Reconstruction Unit today with a scavenger hunt. This unit will be finished by next week.

 

Homework: Study. This is a short unit and the SUMMATIVE TEST will be next week

 

Science:

We have completed the Cells and Microorganisms Unit. Students who made below a 70 were given a study packet to complete to prepare them for the re-test which will be available next week. Please have your child bring the completed study guide to make sure they have the correct information to study.
