Week of October 27-31

Good Morning!  I cannot believe it is already the end of October!  Just a few upcoming reminders.

• Thanksgiving Feast:  Friday, November 14th.  Our homeroom will eat at 11:30.  
• Thanksgiving Holidays: Monday, November 24-28th
• 5th Grade Musical:  Tuesday, December 16th at the Civic Center

N.E.W. (No Excuse Words)  I have noticed that many students are not studying the spelling of these words.  Please make sure they study N.E.W.words as well.

We will also begin our point of view unit of study.  Students will be learning first, second, and third person (objective, omniscient, and limited).  I have some very cool activities for this unit.  I think they will enjoy it!

ELA:  We are continuing with learning and practicing the different parts of speech.  It is so important that students are able to identify nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives, prepositions, adverbs, conjunctions, and interjections within sentences. We will also continue working with narrative writing.
