This Week in Math, Social Studies, and Science

February 2 - 6
Hand Sanitizer and Paper Towels are in short supply if you are willing to donate.
Thanks!!
Math:

Classwork: In my first class, we will continue to work on multiplying and dividing fractions. Please make sure that your child is able to change back and forth from improper fractions and mixed numbers as well as simplify fractions.  In 3rd period we will continue working on the Decimal Unit by reviewing place value.

Exercises: Parents, I have a  number of students that are having difficulty with concepts previously covered this year and I am holding these students in at recess to make sure that they understand how to work the problems so that they will be prepared for the Milestones test. As soon as they are able to show mastery over the skills they are having difficulty with they are allowed to go out. Thanks for your support.

Homework: Students are to complete 8 Accelerated math problems, make corrections on pages when asked, and complete any classwork that they were not able to finish at school.

Social Studies:

Classwork
: We completed the Westward Expansion SUMMATIVE test on Monday

Science:
Classwork: We will begin reading and discussing our genetics unit on Tuesday. This will be a short unit, so students will need to study every night the materials that have been completed.

Homework: Study handouts and notes 10 minutes every night
