Greetings! Please remember we will have a Valentine's Day party on Friday, February 13 at 1:30. In your child's Friday Folder we sent home a white bag to be decorated for Valentine's. There was also a list of every child's name in the 5th grade. You don't need to make a Valentine for each child, but each child in their homeroom. Also, remember that next Monday, February 16th is a school holiday. Enjoy your nice long weekend!
Kimbell's Homeroom: We need donations for our Cultural Arts Night basket. So far, only one person has donated anything. Thank you, CJ!! The theme of our basket is A Day at the Beach! Any donations (monetary or otherwise) are appreciated. These baskets will be auctioned off to the highest bidder on Cultural Arts Night, March 10th.
Reading: I introduced a new set of roots this morning. We will test on ject next Tuesday, February 17th. We are also continuing our book study of Counting on Grace. I think the students are enjoying this story about what life was like in the early 1900's.

ELA: We will continue to practice writing constructed and extended responses in ELA. We will also be visiting the computer labs this week. We will work on Study Island. This is a great program your child can work on at home to help build their skills for the Milestone in April.
