This Week in Math and Social Studies

 The BOOSTERTHON is Friday at 9:00AM.

 

Please remind your students to be sure that they pack their bookbags every night so they do not forget their agendas and assignments.

There are several students that need to be practicing their multiplication and division math facts 3 - 4 times a week. There are several different sites listed to your right that have online practice available to them. This was a 3rd grade skill that they need to be sure that they are proficient in.

 

 

Math:

Classwork: We will continue working on our Algebra concepts this week by solving problems using PEMDAS and writing expressions. Please ask your child to explain this to you. :) The SUMMATIVE TEST over these concepts will be next week.

 Homework: Students are to complete 8 Accelerated math problems and any classwork that they were not able to finish at school. The division SUMMATIVE RE-TESTs  will continue to be given this week.

Social Studies:

Classwork: We have completed the Civil War Unit. Students who made below an 80 were given a study packet to complete to prepare them for the re-test which will be available next week.

Science:

Classwork: How to use the microscope will be introduced this week. Students who have access to a pond are asked to bring in samples of pond water in plastic jugs.

 

Homework: Study the parts of the microscope every night.
