This Week in Math and Social Studies

Please remind your students to be sure that they pack their bookbags every night so they do not forget their agendas and assignments.

There are several students that need to be practicing their multiplication and division math facts 3 - 4 times a week. There are several different sites listed to your right that have online practice available to them. This was a 3rd grade skill that they need to be sure that they are proficient in.

Math:
Classwork: We will begin working on our Algebra concepts this week by solving problems using PEMDAS. Please ask your child to explain this to you. :) There will be a quiz using PEMDAS on Friday.

Social Studies:
Classwork: We are now working on the Civil War Unit. Students should have 4 assignments to study  and we will be adding to that every day.

Homework: Students should use the information in their binders and textbook (Chapter 1)  to study about 10 minutes every night. There will be a quiz on the Civil War materials that we have covered on Friday.
