Reading and ELA Update

In reading, we are working on comparing and contrasting different story elements.  We have already looked at characters.  We will begin to look at plot, setting, and theme in the upcoming weeks.

In ELA, we will be working on our persuasive writing piece.  Each student was able to choose a topic they feel very strongly about.  We have brainstormed ideas and reasons why they have this opinion. Next week, we will begin drafting our rough draft (sloppy copy) on the legal pads they brought in at the beginning of the year.
