Week of November 9

Thanks to Ben Bandy for donating "A Million Ways Home" to our classroom library! It's a wonderful story!!

The Speak Up National Research project needs you to complete the technology survey so that you have input into technology decisions that will impact your child. The survey is open until December 18th. Please take a minute to complete.

The classwork scheduled for this week is:

Math

Classwork: We will be finishing the adding/subtracting decimals unit this week. The SUMMATIVE TEST will be Tuesday.

Homework: When you see the cc written in your child's agenda, it usually means they should finish the page we were working on during class. If they do not have a page with unanswered problems, they have probably finished what they needed to.  In my 1st block class, students should be going onto the Renaissance Learning Website to complete  8 problems each night. Students in my 2nd Block class have a printed handout of their work. All student should scan on the 4th school day after receiving an assignment. Students should easily be able to complete their homework in 20 minutes.

Science
Classwork: We are working on the Genetics Unit packet this week.

Homework:  Please have your child set aside approximately 10 minutes each night to review the Genetics Packet.

Social Studies
Classwork: We have begun the Westward Movement Packet.

Homework: Please have your child set aside approximately 10 minutes each night to review.
