This Week in Math, Social Studies, and Science

January 19 - 23
 

Math:

Classwork: We will continue to work on multiplying and dividing fractions. Please make sure that your child is able to change back and forth from improper fractions and mixed numbers as well as simplify fractions.

Homework: Students are to complete 8 Accelerated math problems, make corrections on pages when asked, and complete any classwork that they were not able to finish at school.  The SUMMATIVE test for multiplying and dividing fractions will be at the end of this week or the beginning of next week.

Social Studies:

Classwork: We will complete  the Westward Expansion unit. Students will get a study guide on Thursday.

Homework: Study vocabulary, notes, handouts, and covered pages in the textbook about 10 minutes every night. The SUMMATIVE test will be on Monday.

Science:

 

We will begin the Genetics Unit next week.
