This Week in Math, Social Studies, and Science
November 17 - 21

The students have begun to be off task and are talking more than they need to be. Please remind them that while November and December are exciting because of the Holidays we have, it is not a time to forget how important their lessons and homework are. Thank you for your support.

Math:
Classwork: We will continue to work on fractions. Please make sure that your child is able to change  back and forth from improper fractions and mixed numbers as well as simplify fractions. We are working on adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators this week.

My 3rd period class will take their SUMMATIVE TEST on adding and subtracting fractions on Friday.

Homework: Students are to complete 8 Accelerated math problems, make corrections on pages when asked,  and complete any classwork that they were not able to finish at school.

Social Studies:
Students took the summative test on Thursday of last week. I am very proud of their scores. They were the best I have seen this year. I do have a few students that will need to re-test after re-teaching.

Science:
Classwork: We began the Classification Unit today. Students already have notes and vocabulary cards to begin studying.

Homework: Students should study vocabulary, notes, and handouts about 10 minutes every night.
