Week of August 25-29 - ELA and Reading

Greetings!  Another week is in the books!  I just wanted to keep you updated on a few things that are happening this week. We will have another roots test on Friday of this week.  Students were given a crossword puzzle on Monday to help them study for the test.  The roots for this week are:

• disqualify
• disturb
• disagree
• disrupt
• dissolve
• distrust
• disobey
• differ
• disapprove
• direct

Our N.E.W (No Excuse Words) are:  together, beautiful, addition, history, and awesome.

We will be taking the ELA MAP test tomorrow in all of my classes.  We will also be continuing our discussions on what makes a good opinion writing piece this week during ELA.
